Educational Technology Expectations

Educational technology creates a critical challenge for higher education in meeting the technology expectations of these constituencies and will greatly impact their perceptions of the quality and value of the overall experience. This implies more on the development for instruction as to go beyond to the modern society of today.

Thus, it support to the improvement of technology skills, increases the awareness pedagogic application of technology in teaching, reduce individual anxiety about technology infusion and assess individuals' abilities to effectively integrate educational technology into teaching.

Moreover, these able to embrace technology as part of teaching methodologies. Since, educational technology enhances classroom interaction with students, thus to use technology in the development of some of the products of student report as being helpful in their construction of knowledge.

 

In my opinion, the use of technology can engage students in their own learning process and make them participants in their learning. We could utilize the current technologies made available to us in teaching from expanding our skill set to include the effective use of technology.

Traditional and Information Technology (IT) Instruction

Strategies, methods, techniques and pedagogies play a vital role in teaching-learning process.It focuses on the learner who is the recipient or receiver for the teaching, the teacher who is the facilitator or the sender for the teaching as well as the environment that is should be conducive for learning. In teaching- learning process nowadays, there are approaches used known as the traditional instruction and the  (IT) information technology instruction.

Based from my experienced in handling the traditional instruction, it able to make an individual more resourceful especially the teacher in having or presenting the instructional materials such as recyclable items. It makes me more artistic or enhances my creative skills. At some point, I could just spend  a minimal value compared to other modern preparations.Moreover, the interaction between teacher and the learner will be observed such as proper conversations, eye to eye contact, proper conduct such as gestures and so on.

However, through the used of (IT) information technology instruction, it makes an individual more innovative. It could lessen the time for the IM's preparation, gets the information fast, easy and reliable. Additionally, through IT, it could jive in or to go with in the modern society of today and not be more ignorant from any gadgets or technologies exists. It can easily be manipulate and can get the learners' attention as they could.

Those approaches sited above are actually have a significant role in teaching-learning process. Both stands for the betterment of learning even if there are also advantages that I can gain from it. But  to sum it up, there should be also an equilibrium in handling those approaches in instruction to have a better and quality education for all. But even what approach would you make, it would always depend from the type of environment you have, for you should be flexible in everything that has set to be.
